Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is a referral needed for physiotherapy?

A. No. You no longer need a referral from a physician to receive physiotherapy. Some Extended Health Plans request that you obtain a referral prior to treatment if you are going to be claiming reimbursement. Please check your plan for specific details.

Q. Where is the clinic located?

A. On the outskirts of Parksville, just off the Alberni Hwy. (No. 4) at Allsbrook Centre Plaza.

Q. What about parking and access?

A. There is plenty of free parking in front of the clinic and excess parking in the gravel lot at the rear of the plaza. You can access the clinic by turning left onto Bellevue Rd.(off of the Alberni Hwy.), then the next left on Allsbrook Rd. Proceed into the plaza, and turn left at the front of the building.

Q. Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

A.

Q. How long will I be in the clinic for each session?

A. This depends on the injury and type of treatment you require; however, expect to be in the clinic for approximately 40-50 minutes for your initial session and 20-60 minutes for a subsequent appointment, as recommended by your therapist.

Q. How many treatments will I need?

A. Every condition is individually evaluated based on the person and severity of their condition, and individual circumstances. Your physiotherapist will advise you of an appropriate treatment plan after your initial assessment.
